Dots and Boxes

Dots and Boxes brings the classic pencil-and-paper strategy game to your browser. Players take turns drawing edges between dots on a grid, racing to complete more squares than their opponent. Every box you close scores a point and gives you another turn, turning each match into a tense battle of territory and foresight. Choose from 3x3, 3x4, or 5x5 boards, then play against a friend in local two-player mode or challenge the bot at Easy or Strategic difficulty. The game tracks your score after every box completion and clearly highlights whose turn it is with a colored indicator. The Strategic bot plans ahead by completing its own boxes and avoiding dangerous moves, while the Easy bot picks randomly for a relaxed practice match. Both modes support fast rematches so you can run best-of-three sessions without returning to the menu. Visual feedback makes every move satisfying: claimed edges draw in smoothly, completed boxes fill with your color and burst with particles, and a score popup tracks each point. At game over, a final scoreboard announces the winner and offers an instant rematch.
